Drywall!
While Wyatt, Sawyer and I were relaxing in Vermont, poor Jay stayed home to begin mudding the walls. He got 2 coats on and this is what it looks like now.

We have some walls again!

What I wish I could have been doing all weekend.
So after a 3 day workathon, Jay and Jerry (Jay's Dad) got the wiring figured out and got some sheetrock up on the ceiling in the dining room. This past weekend, I assisted Jay with putting the sheetrock on most of the walls, except for the one 14 foot piece Mark assisted Jay with. Enjoy the photos!

Bee Update
So my bees are off to a good start. I have been feeding them sugar water (ran out of honey and its kinda expensive so I changed my ideals a bit- better to have live bees than no bees) for the past 3.5 weeks and I can finally see honeycomb. It appears that they have about 8-9 combs started. I am SOOOOO EXCITED!!!! Here are some photos, including one of my helper putting the bars back on after replenishing the food.

Quick and Easy Afternoon House Project
So today, Jay undertook a quick house project. He rebuilt the attic stairs. Seriously, it was one of the easier house projects to date. Later in the evening, he helped Mark and Meredith by removing some shrubs from the front of their house. No photos of that. Sorry.

THE BEES ARE HERE!!!!!
Gear and hive ready and waiting.
2 boxes of bees = 2 queen bees and 20,000 workers and drones.
Todd and his very sharp axe, splitting the screen to separate the packages of bees.
Ready to remove the queen (the yellow plug)
Plugs removed- here come the bees! (not at all....they just hung out there)
Queen hanging with her attendants.
Drone bee (male- for keeping the queen happy only). Honey in the background.

House Cleaning!
Today, after going to the Heiburg Forest annual Pancake Breakfast, Jay and I did some light house cleaning. We decided the dining room ceiling was probably hiding a lot of dust, so we decided to take it down and vacuum out all the dust above it. It's much cleaner now.
